About

PutYourLightsOn was founded by Ben Croker who has been developing ExpressionEngine add-ons since 2007 (since EE 1.6.0 to be exact). Originally from Ireland and currently living in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria (named smartest city on the planet), Ben has been an active ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter community member and third-party add-on developer since he can remember (well, nearly). With a passion for innovation, web app development and elegant code, he blends his interests with feedback from the EE community into ideas that he then transforms into EE add-ons that add functionality, performance and customisation to thousands of websites.

Sales

All of our commercial add-ons are sold on devot-ee. We decided to push all sales through devot-ee for a number of reasons, most notably to support one of the best EE community resources, to contribute to it through sale commissions, and to help promote it as a marketplace for EE add-ons. Our entire experience with devot-ee and Ryan Masuga have been excellent and we couldn't be happier that we made this decision.

Refunds

All of our commercial add-ons are sold with a 30 day return policy. If you are unhappy with any add-on and wish to receive a refund then please contact devot-ee directly with your order number.

Licenses

All of the add-ons available from PutYourLightsOn are distributed under one of two licenses.

Commercial License  
A commercial license allows you to use an add-on for a single installation of ExpressionEngine on your site. This allows you to use one license for an installation of ExpressionEngine running multiple sites using the Multi Site Manager.
Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License  
A Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) license allows you to copy, distribute, transmit, adapt and make commercial use of the add-on under the following conditions:
  • Attribution — You must attribute the work to PutYourLightsOn in the source code and in any publicly viewable description of your work
  • Share Alike — If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same or similar license to this one

Terms and Conditions

By purchasing, downloading or using any of the add-ons developed by PutYourLightsOn you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this license. We reserve the right to alter this agreement at any time, for any reason, without notice.

  1. One commercial license grants the right to perform one installation of the add-on. Each additional installation requires an additional purchased license.
  2. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell or transfer any add-ons, or portions thereof, to any third party, unless the add-on is explicitly distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) license.
  3. All copyright and proprietary notices within the add-on source files must remain intact and unaltered.
  4. All add-ons are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
  5. You assume all risk associated with the installation and use of all add-ons.
